Sphericle: ovvero come realizzare un robot sferico

Sphericle: ovvero come realizzare un robot sferico

What is the context of your innovation?
Spherical robots can be used in exploration on land, in water, in rehabilitation and in children's education. These robots move by rolling in 2D on a floor and are almost always driven via wi-fi, a different solution to the approach with wheels or tracks of terrestrial robots.

What is your project about?
This project was revived by adapting it to the school context, from similar robots present in scientific literature. It was a challenge faced with my students and using digital fabrication to try to create the various parts that make up the Sphericle.

What are the next steps?
At the moment the spericle project is moving on a floor, we are at the first stages of testing, we have created all the printed circuits to drive the two stepper motors and we are trying to enrich the first prototype with sensors.

Alunni classi quarta e quinta Elettronica e Robotica IIS Tito Sarrocchi Siena.
