Billy, un nuovo modo di giocare a biliardo.
What is the project about?
Billy is a reinterpretation of the classic billiards.
Once the ball has been positioned, the objective is to hit an illuminated hole by tilting the surface with two knobs. If you miss a hole or go off track, all the holes light up red and you pass your turn. The player who has accumulated the most points wins.
Where did you get the idea?
The idea comes from the creation of a fun game for adults but with small dimensions. After brainstorming, sketches and the franken model, we arrived at the final 3D model. Production involved 3D printing, milling, thermoforming and laser cutting. Finally, the pieces were sanded and painted.
How are creativity, technology, ingenuity and innovation combined in your project?
Everything we created was done to try to innovate something that already existed: the game of billiards.
But how can we break the mold? our creativity immediately made us think that it shouldn't be the ball that moves, but the plane itself. Ingenuity and various technologies made all of this possible: Billy.
