Maker Faire Rome è stata l’inizio di tutto per TERRAVIONICS: è lì che ci siamo conosciuti tra co-founders ed è sempre lì che, in occasione dell’11° edizione del 2023, abbiamo volutamente ricercato e trovato altri membri che si sono aggiunti al nostro team. È uno dei pochi “luoghi” realmente “ideali” per confrontarsi, migliorarsi e… innescare le idee!

AnReAL: Augmented Reality Laboratory of Physics
What is the context of your innovation?
In recent years, schools, universities and museums have started to purchase an increasingly large number of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality viewers. Until today, however, there was no educational software for having a physics laboratory that was based on real laboratory experiences, and therefore on measurements and data acquired in real time.
What is your project about?
The VR and AR software for physics teaching currently available are always based on visualizations and simulations, never on measurements and data acquired in real time (with the exception of prototypes for research). With AnReAL we no longer have to choose between physics laboratory and AR, but we do physics laboratory in AR.
What are the next steps?
AnReAL has been present on the official Meta headset store for a few months, and several schools and universities have already tested it (in the free or paid version) on their own or with our support. With them we carry out not only technical but above all educational experimentation. Our plan in the short term is to focus heavily on diffusion.
