What is the project about?
On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Giulio Cesare gymnasium in Rome, it was decided to create a photogrammetric survey of the statue of the leader which is the symbol of the school in the PCT with the architecture faculty

Where did you get the idea?
PCTO is a practice that we have been carrying out for several years and photogrammetry seemed to us to be a very suitable topic for high school students to introduce them to the practice of surveying with innovative tools.

How did you transform the idea into a real project?
We involved professors from the Relief and Drawing disciplinary sector with more modern and professional instruments given the size of the statue. The survey with a professional camera. The various steps from the sparse cloud of points, dense cloud and then mesh were carried out with photogrammetry software (metashape)
