Exhibitors 2024

Il razionalismo italiano attraverso VR immersive

What is the project about?
In October 1932, on the occasion of the March on Rome, the Exhibition of the Fascist Revolution was inaugurated, located in the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Via Nazionale in Rome. It was a historical-documentary exhibition on fascism, which was later dismantled. The event is closely linked to the debate on the relationship between fascism and rational architecture.

Where did you get the idea?
I have been dealing with virtual reconstructions for years, and since 2020 I have also started to deal with the theme of Italian rationalist architecture.
In particular by focusing attention on the great architects of this acclaimed movement and on the projects never built, lost or
distorted over time.

How did you transform the idea into a real project?
The idea was therefore to start creating a database of three-dimensional models reconstructed on the basis of historical documentation -
archival, with a scientific foundation, which would allow alternative urban visions to physical reality through Virtual Reality
Immersive of the selected projects.
