At Maker Faire Rome 2021, held in the Gazometro area from 8 to 10 October, INTTV presented Mafbox, a patented hybrid decoder model that not only allows all Digital Terrestrial channels to be viewed in the new DVD T2 standard, but also transforms all types of television sets (even old ones with cathode ray tubes) into SmartTVs. The quality of the components and Google certification guarantee access to all streaming content platforms with perfect viewing without interruptions.
Sustainable solution
«INTTV’s Mafbox is easy to use with all TV sets and also controls the functions of the connected device (on, off and volume control). It’s the perfect solution for those who want to continue watching TV programmes on their home TV and upgrade it to the functions of a real Smart TV without scrapping their perfectly good TV. It’s a great saving, but also a great help to the environment, as discarded TV sets create a big disposal problem».
Also webcam and SOS from the remote control
Mafbox, the company continues, «also has two very important exclusive functions: its webcam with microphone allows video calls from the TV and the remote control’s SOS function calls stored emergency numbers in rotation in case of need, signalling the location. This multifunctional device was developed by four business consultants from the company Maf who, with the approaching dates of the change of frequency of Television Standards, had the idea of developing a hybrid bundle combining the possibility of different functions, some designed especially for the less digitised senior audience».
Maker Faire Rome 2021, it all happened like this…
«The interest of the public and operators during the three days of Maker Faire Rome 2021 was very high, with a constant flow of visitors to the stand asking for information on the features and functionality of the product. Many asked when and where they could buy the product, which truly solves many needs in a single device. IntTV also received many expressions of interest in possible commercial developments of this patent-applied model».
