University of Pisa

The University of Pisa promotes the transfer and enhancement of knowledge in the area of economic and cultural development of the territories, in compliance with the principles of environmental and social sustainability. The dissemination of knowledge is carried out in many forms, from face-to-face events to online seminars and via streaming, thus making use of digital technologies increasingly accessible to the community. The University of Pisa gives rise to innovation, new business, strengthening of existing companies, patents, spin-offs and interactive laboratories for the development of innovative ideas.
In recent years, the University of Pisa has launched the Contamination Lab Pisa with the aim of promoting and disseminating the entrepreneurial culture and innovation, the enhancement of one's ideas and interdisciplinarity. It allows participants, coming from all disciplinary fields, to get to know each other and work together on common projects, acquiring planning, organizational, communication and transversal skills and tools.
The training courses are divided into cycles of lectures, laboratory activities, project works and individual accompanying activities (tutoring and mentoring) organized in collaboration with local, national and international bodies.
Participation in the activities involves the involvement of participants through forms of active participation and unconventional methods (online, streaming on-demand seminars, support desks on web platforms, online hackathon with active support from mentors for the realization of innovative ideas in 48 h ).
The talk will therefore have the purpose of making the project known and sharing best practices.
