For sports lovers, staying in shape day by day is essential. Training and practicing are fundamental for testing, improving, and preparing yourself in the best way, and this is particularly true for boxing, kickboxing, and other personal defense disciplines.

Every lover of combat sports knows that, to practice, the punching bag is an essential and constant presence at every training session. Technology can give considerable assistance in helping to improve training, and today there are many devices that allow technology to be interactive and interfaced with the devices that each of us already own.

PunchLab is an app created with these fundamental needs in mind.  In fact, this  smartphone app program detects, measures, and reacts in real-time to the punches that  land on the punching bag. Using it is very simple and it no additional device is needed. All you need to do is attach the smartphone to the punching bag with the belt, so as to keep the screen in view, to get real-time feedback on the training you are doing.


Power, frequency, time, score and other data: PunchLab is a real digital trainer that helps to bring out the maximum potential of each boxer.




An innovation of this kind, conceived to assist sports enthusiasts in a technological way, could not be missing from the Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition 2019, the world-famous innovative technology fair that will take place from 18 to 20 October at the Fiera di Roma.

This year the event will be enriched by an area dedicated to inventions and new technologies in sports, called SportTech. It is located in Pavilion 6, with its 3230 sq ft (300 sq m) of space that will host the major innovations in this field, and also allow you to test yourself in various sports, with a boxing ring, a soccer field, a sprint track, and a basketball hoop. An excellent opportunity to stay up to date regarding sports and technology – and keep fit at the same time!
