SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, SOCIAL DIALOGUE AND… A TV STUDIO: AT #MFR2021 SONY, GOLD PARTNER OF THE EVENT
FROM 8 TO 10 October, SONY will be among the protagonists of the 9th edition of Maker Faire Rome, with a large exhibition area entirely dedicated to innovation and its different areas of application
Sony takes part to Maker Faire Rome 2021 with a large exhibition area set up within the new event location, Gazometro Ostiense. Among the protagonists of the Sony space, the Sony Computer Science Laboratories in Paris (Sony CSL Paris) which will be present at the fair with a focus on innovation, in particular, on sustainable development and social dialogue in all areas of applications.
But that’s not all: CSLs will be joined by Sony Semiconductor Solutions Europe and Sony Professional Solutions Europe, with an installation dedicated to the detection of flows and with a television studio, which will host talks and panels throughout the duration of the event.
Vittorio Loreto, Director of Sony Computer Science Laboratories in Paris, tells us about Sony’s participation in Maker Faire Rome 2021: “This is a special year for Sony Computer Science Laboratories (CSL), with its two offices in Tokyo and Paris. After opening a new laboratory in Kyoto, CSL Paris lands in Italy, in Rome in particular, to start a new project dedicated to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with two main projects dedicated to Sustainable Cities and Information and Dialogue Social. CSL will open its Roman office in the prestigious Centro Fermi headquarters inside the historic building of “the boys from Via Panisperna”.
Furthermore, CSL Paris celebrates its 25th birthday this year and will do so with an Open House that will take place in the exciting setting of Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition.
CSL, along with other Sony sectors, will have a large exhibition area, ranging from topics ranging from smart cities to agriculture, from disinformation to language technologies to creativity. In addition, our team will provide Maker Faire Rome 2021 with a brand new technology based on Sony smart cameras to control the flows of people inside the pavilions to comply with Covid-19 restrictions.
