Azada Barakzai is 25-year-old, born and raised in Afghanistan. In 2012 upon her graduation from high school, due to the inspiration she received from the Digital Citizen Fund’s goal of empowering Afghan girls in the field of science, she joined the organization as a tutor for English Language and basic computer skills.
In 2017, after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from India, she started working for a construction firm. In addition, with her passion towards DCF’s noble objective, she decided to rejoin the team as a technical mentor for the Afghan Dreamers where shje provided design software support (AutoCAD 2D and 3D design & computer skills).
With the current unfortunate events taking place in her homeland, her desire to empower the Afghan youth is closer to her heart than ever.
