Voize: streamlining healthcare admin with AI
With Voize, streamlines healthcare by empowering nurses and caregivers to record documentation on their smartphones and automatically create the correct care reports, vital signs entries and movement logs
Voize’s AI-powered system transforms how healthcare providers manage documentation and administrative tasks, offering substantial value across several dimensions. By automating routine paperwork processing, the platform allows medical professionals to redirect their focus to what matters most—patient care. This shift not only improves the quality of healthcare delivery but also addresses the growing problem of burnout among medical staff.
The startup’s technology demonstrates particular promise in reducing documentation time, minimizing errors, and ensuring regulatory compliance—three critical pain points in healthcare administration. By leveraging natural language processing and machine learning algorithms, Voize can interpret, categorize, and process medical documentation with remarkable accuracy.
The recent funding round signals strong investor confidence in Voize’s approach and underscores the urgent need for technological solutions in healthcare administration. As healthcare systems worldwide grapple with efficiency challenges, Voize’s AI platform represents a timely innovation with the potential to transform administrative workflows across the medical sector. With its headquarters in Berlin’s vibrant tech ecosystem, Voize is well-positioned to expand its footprint across European healthcare markets and potentially beyond.
The Voize solution
Functions Voize supports care
Voize was developed from the ground up together with caregivers in order to provide optimal support in the hectic daily care routine.
- Mobile care assistant. With voize, you can not only record documentation, but always have complete care planning, master data, and historical history of reports and vital signs right in your pocket. voize helps with needs-based care.
- Documentation directly with care. Record vital signs, nursing reports, hygiene entries and much more directly at the client’s location using voice input. Annoying paper slips are a thing of the past.
- Wound doc with photos. The wound history can be created directly with wound photo from the smartphone.
- Medication plan. The integrated medication plan makes it possible to check this directly during doctor visits.
- Support in case of emergency. Voize can also provide support in the event of falls or other emergency situations. Emergency phone numbers and contact details are immediately available and important information about the incident can be documented immediately
Carefree digitisation without data protection concerns
Self-learning AI. Voize uses artificial intelligence and speech recognition developed specifically for nursing. This means that technical terms and abbreviations are understood, and even dialects and loud background noises are no problem. And best of all, the artificial intelligence learns with every input, so it is constantly improving.
Data protection. Voize is fully DSGVO, KDG (Church Data Protection Act) and DSG-EKD (Data Protection Act of the Evangelical Church in Germany) compliant.
What’s next for Voize
“Documentation in healthcare is extremely time-consuming. Marcel and I saw this firsthand when our grandfather moved into a nursing home – that’s how the idea for voize was born,” said Fabio Schmidberger, co-founder and CEO. “Today, we deliver real value in healthcare. Tens of thousands of caregivers now simply dictate their documentation, reclaiming valuable time for care.”
“Voize combines all the elements for a true European technology champion: Meaningful impact with thousands of engaged care workers and patients, a sustainable business case for healthcare providers, proprietary technology and the potential to fight the blue-collar labor shortage in Europe,” said Felix Klühr, General Partner at HV Capital, who is excited about the company’s potential.
“We’re excited to expand our AI into hospitals and beyond, setting the new standard for digital documentation,” added Marcel Schmidberger, co-founder and COO of voize.
