Laser Assisted Robotic Surgery of the anterior Eye Segment
Bernardo Magnani, Fabio Leoni, Francesca Rossi
Fabio Leoni received his Master Degree in Computer Science from Dipartimento di Informatica - University of Pisa, Italy in July 1997 and the Ph.D. in Robotics from the University of Genova in 2001. He covered a Post-doc Fellow position at the BioRobotics Institute of SSSA assisting the management of the Industrial Research and Development (IRD) Group of SSSA. Since No-vember 2013 he has taken office as President of Fastenica s.r.l. in order to exploit the industrial research activity performed by IRD Group.
Francesca Rossi is Researcher at the Institute of Applied Physics “Nello Carraraâ€, of the Italian National Research Council, where she collaborates since 2003. Her skills are in the studies of light-tissue interactions. At present her research interests include experimental and theoretical studies on the temperature dynamics during light irradiations of bio-tissue. She is involved in the coordination of research activities in the framework of several regional, national and European projects, with a focus on the development of new surgical, therapeutic and diagnostic laser-based approaches in Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Neurosurgery, etc. She is author of more than 30 papers published in peer-reviewed international scientific journals; she is author of 6 patents.
