SPAZIOFUTURO was founded in Rome on 09/08/2014 as an innovative start-up with the purpose of developing and producing technologically advanced systems for General Aviation, Space, Defence and Security.
The SPAZIOFUTURO shareholders professional contributions, withexperiences gained in institutional and private organizations,have allowed to conduct the first autonomous research project in aeronautical field, named “Progetto GABBIANO”, with the scope to offer a weather service for flight plan and during the navigation to the Ultralight and General Aviation aircrafts world.
The Progetto GABBIANO, selected and co-founded by POR- FESR Regione Lazio 2007/2013 in 2014, demonstrated, in a minimum value product, that updating weather information along the preplanned route can be efficiently presented to the pilots, on the Italian territory, in real time and during the flight, through a dedicated satellite-based connection. The first prototype Application aimed to the Proof of Concept, compatible with Android devices, has been developed and tested using IRIDIUM connection for data transfer and GPS for positioning. In addition to the Application, an elegant breadboarding of a dual airborne antenna (compatible with GPS, GALILEO and IRIDIUM) have been developed.
SPAZIOFUTURO Core Business is focused on design and development of technologically advanced hardware, software and services, mainly in the aerospace field.
Recently the Company gained new experiences being part of a feasibility study for a commercial small rocket, inserted in low orbit employing high performance aircraft, by providing advice to ESTEC Concurrent Engineering Facility. The Company peopleare to-day carefully looking to initiatives in various field requiring automatic navigation with GALILEO constellation
