Una nuova bioraffineria
Circa un terzo di tutto il cibo prodotto ogni anno viene sprecato. AgriMax prende in carico le colture di pomodoro e di cereali in Italia e le lavora con un nuovo impianto pilota. Una impianto in Spagna farà lo stesso per i rifiuti di patate e olivicoltori. La materia vegetale sarà suddivisa usando un processo a cascata. Tre tipi di prodotti sarannorealizzati dai rifiuti. Innanzitutto, verranno estratti gli ingredienti per un cibo sano. Verranno recuperate anche fibre di cellulosa avanzate. In secondo luogo, saranno estratti i materiali per film e fertilizzanti per l'agricoltura. In terzo luogo, le materie prime per le bioplastiche.

Agrimax
Agrimax, Gianluca Belotti studied Industrial Biotechnology followed by a PhD in Chemical Engineering and completed his education with a Master in Functional Genomics. After an experience as researcher in the field of biomass valorisation he moved to project management and started to being active in international research collaborations. He covered the role of project manager in private research centres in Italy and Spain, leading several proposal elaboration and project execution under FP7, H2020, BBI, LIFE and Interreg. Currently he is working at IRIS, an advanced engineering company placed in Barcelona which has been ranked by the EC as the fourth SME for funding rising under Horizon 2020. During his experience in IRIS he specialized in Business Development and innovation Management. Among other roles, he is currently the Project Coordinator and the Innovation Manager of two large Innovation Actions under the BBI work programme.
