Two among the most advanced technologies, that today are available in robotics laboratories, are here: anthropomorphic arms for object unwrapping, and quadrupeds for navigating natural environments. These systems are currently under study in the EU reserach projects SOPHIA, DARKO, THING, NI, for several applications such as intralogistics, service robotics, and environmental monitoring.
