Robot Segnante LIS
The idea of this stand was born after the participation of Sapienza University of Rome in SCIROC 2021. The goal is to produce robots increasingly able to live immersed in the most diverse social contexts, interacting freely with human interlocutors. To achieve this goal, it is essential to emphasize the accessibility and inclusiveness of these technologies, making them usable by categories with different needs.
This project concerns a robot capable of interpreting and performing signs in the Italian Sign Language. The context represented is a bar, where this robot will be able to take and communicate orders even with deaf people.

The laboratory RoCoCo (Cognitive Cooperating Robots) is located at DIAG (Dipartimento di Ingegneria Informatica, Automatica e Gestionale) of Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. The research developed at RoCoCo laboratory is in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics and started with the participation of the SPQR Team to the RoboCup competitions in 1998.
