MBT: Mini Brain Technology for in vitro studies
Our project is based on the production and commercialization of innovative 2D and 3D supports for the in vitro development of engineered brain neuronal networks. By using our products is possible to easily develop in the lab the so called "Brain-on-a-chip" as an advanced in vitro model of our brain. Engineered in vitro brain models are necessary for preclinical research and are needed to fill the gap between animal models and clinical trials. Unlike conventional in vitro neuronal networks, our models demonstrate morphological and functional characteristics of the brain tissue.
