Connecting humans and robots through Wearable Haptics

Connecting humans and robots through Wearable Haptics

In this project, the objective is to record and transmit tactile sensations to a fingertip. We developed both the sensing part and the wearable actuation part. The sensing part is in charge of sensing tactile cues applied to the finger. The actuation part is a wearable robotic thimble that squeezes the fingertip, rendering in real-time the sensation experienced in the sensing part. Actuation and sensing counterparts are placed in different locations.
