What we already thought would be a fun trip turned out to be so much more: the love and enthusiasm of the exhibitors, attendees and Maker Faire Rome’s team for innovation, education, and general celebration of the maker movement was awe-inspiring. There is so much to see that a single year in attendance is not enough, so if you ever get the opportunity, head to this show, soak in the sea of inventions, and make some great friends along the way.

Lower Limb Exoskeleton for walking assistance
L'Ekso è un esoscheletro dell'arto inferiore, commercializzato da Ekso Bionics, in grado di supportare la flessione/estensione dell'anca e del ginocchio durante la deambulazione in superficie. Una volta indossato il robot, l'utente deve spostare il peso in direzione laterale e antero-posteriore consentendo così di liberare una gamba per l'oscillazione e di attivare ogni passo. L'utente è attivamente impegnato nel raggiungere e mantenere una postura eretta, nell'iniziare i passi e nel bilanciare il proprio corpo. La gestione dinamica dell'equilibrio e del passo ritmico consente la deambulazione per applicazioni assistenziali e terapeutiche.
