D3 4 Health: Wearable technologies, graphene-based sensors and devices
Wearable technologies and graphene-based sensors have emerged as transformative innovations in the field of next-generation healthcare systems. This talk will explore the key wearable graphene-based sensors and devices developed, produced, characterized, and tested within the Digital Driven Diagnostics, Prognostics, and Therapeutics for Sustainable Healthcare (D3 4 Health) project. Several graphene-based sensors, including smart insoles for gait analysis, sweat sensors for biochemical analysis, and temperature sensors for thermal regulation, will be presented and discussed.

Prof. Alessandro Giuseppe D’Aloia
Alessandro Giuseppe D'Aloia received the Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Perugia, Perugia, Italy, in 2007, and the Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy, in 2009 and 2014, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor at Sapienza University of Rome. His research interests include the development, modeling, and characterization of new graphene-based nanocomposites and nanostructured materials for electromagnetic compatibility and wearable sensing applications.
Dr. Hossein Cheraghi Bidsorkhi
Hossein Cheraghi Bidsorkhi received his Ph.D. degree (Ph.D. Fellow) from Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy, in 2018. He earned his M.S. degree in Polymer Technology from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor, Malaysia, in 2013, and his Bachelor's degree in Polymer Engineering from Azad University, Isfahan, Iran, in 2009. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Sapienza University of Rome. His pioneering research focuses on the development of advanced polymer nanocomposites for various applications, including smart textiles, sensing, electrical systems, electromagnetic technologies, energy harvesting, biomedical devices, drug delivery, and healthcare. He has served as the Principal Investigator for several research projects.
Dr. Negin Faramarzi
Negin Faramarzi received her Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran, in 2014, and her Master's degree in Nanotechnology Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy, in 2022, cum laude. She is currently a Ph.D. student and researcher at Sapienza University of Rome. Her research interests include the development, production, and characterization of new graphene-based nanocomposites and nanostructured materials for wearable sensing applications.
