Ready to create? The hands-on workshops at Maker Faire Rome

Maker Faire 2025: discover hands-on workshops on wearables, IoT, robotics, and more

Enter the fair, become a maker

The air has a strange scent. A mix of curiosity, emotions, and ideas taking shape. As soon as you enter Maker Faire, you immediately understand that people don’t just come here to look. Here, they do. A bracelet lights up as a teacher sews conductive LEDs. A boy programs his first robot, glued to the screen showing real-time environmental data. A freshly laser-cut key ring is passed from hand to hand, still warm, almost like a freshly baked cookie. These are some of the hands-on workshops at Maker Faire: places where you really learn, build, make mistakes, and try again. No technical knowledge is required. All you need is the desire to try.

What you will find in the workshops (without technicalities)

Here you can experiment. And each workshop is designed to take you from zero to “it really works.”

Technology you can touch

  • Basic electronics and sensors: learn how to read temperature, humidity, and air with simple sensors, visible on the screen
  • Internet of Things (IoT): connect a sensor and watch the data appear online. Objects that really talk

Why it works

Maker Faire workshops are designed for those who have little time but a lot of enthusiasm. Few steps, simple tools, immediate results.

What you take home

  • An object, file, or script that works.
  • A 4-5 step procedure that can be replicated at home or in the classroom.
  • A practical and creative working method.
