3 - 5 october 2014
Auditorium Parco della Musica

The second edition of Maker Faire Rome took place in the futuristic and evocative location of the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome from 3 to 5 October 2014.

In 2014 the fair was preceded by the Innovation Week – a week of discussion among the key players of the digital revolution on topics such as start-ups, smart cities, open hardware, frugal sciences, and the Internet of Things. The event concluded with over 90,000 attendees across 9 days, during which more than 600 inventions from 33 different countries were exhibited, featuring 3D printers, robotic musicians, the latest generation of wearable technologies, and DIY weather stations. In the 2,000 sq. m. kids’ area, 15,000 children took part in 360 hands-on workshops.

For 9 consecutive days, Rome was the source of an inexhaustible energy for ideas with a high level of innovation and creativity, establishing itself as the ideal place to be recognised as the cradle of Italian innovation.
