It happens at Maker Faire Rome 2025: you put on the headset, travel with Jules Verne and you’re immediately somewhere else
Travel without moving. Explore without borders
Put on a headset: begin your sensory and interactive journey into the visionary world of Jules Verne, guided by Little Verne, a character created especially for the occasion. He will lead you through five narrative universes, inspired by the most famous novels by the author who anticipated science with fantasy.
From October 17 to 19, 2025, at the Ostiense Gazometer, at the Maker Faire Rome 2025, Immersive Area, all this is simply and extraordinarily possible with Jules Verne 200 – Journey into the Metaverse. It’s not an exhibition. It’s not a film. It’s a journey (with two rooms each accommodating 35 visitors every 15 minutes) through the layers of our planet, from the center of the Earth to deep space, passing through abysses, mysterious islands, and mechanical skies.

What will you experience
Each environment is reconstructed in virtual reality to stimulate curiosity, imagination and literary memory:
- UNDERGROUND
Journey to the Center of the Earth: Explore caves and hidden worlds amidst magma and forgotten wonders. - SEAS AND OCEANS
Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea: Sail into the depths with the Nautilus, encountering impossible creatures and vintage technology. - EMERGED LAND
The Mysterious Island – Survival: where ingenuity and nature merge in a timeless place. - TROPOSPHERE
Robur the Conqueror: Flights across a sky of steam and metal, aboard an out-of-control flying machine. - SPACE
From Earth to the Moon: here you observe the Earth from afar, as if for the first time.

Why you absolutely must not miss it
It’s not just fun. It’s an intimate and collective experience, combining literature, science, and technology. It’s designed to stimulate children’s minds and awaken wonder in adults. Each scene is more than a reconstruction: it’s a poetic immersion, where interacting with objects, sounds, and environments also means interacting with oneself and one’s own imagination.
