Innovation thrives on knowledge, research, and the power of collaboration. Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition is the ideal platform for universities and public research centres to showcase excellence, connect with the innovation community, and gain international visibility.

From 17^th to 19^th October 2025, at the iconic Gazometro Ostiense in Rome, you’ll have the chance to present, engage, and perform in front of companies, investors, experts, and tech enthusiasts.

Ways to participate

• Exhibition: A customized stand to showcase your project and interact with the audience
• Workshops: Propose an interactive and educational activity for the public in the new area “Make Lab – Let’s Create Together”. You may request reimbursement for expenses incurred in purchasing materials for the workshop (see regulations, Art. 4.1, paragraph 3)
• Live Performances: Bring your most spectacular and engaging creations to the stage
• Talks: Share your expertise through presentations and interactive webinar

Selection Criteria

• A working prototype that can be demonstrated.
• Creativity and originality in execution.
• Active visitor engagement, showcasing both the process and the final result.
• Level of innovation compared to previous editions.
• Technical and logistical feasibility for in-person participation.

Maker Faire Rome is more than a three-day event! Your project could be featured in pre- and post-fair activities across digital platforms.

The projects submitted to the Call for Universities & Research Institutes will participate in any Contests promoted by the organizer and/or by partners linked to the Call itself.
