Eni at Maker Faire Rome 2025: technology and innovation with supercomputing and magnetic confinement fusion for the energy of the future
From October 17 to 19, 2025, Eni will be a key player at Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition, Europe’s largest event dedicated to innovation, technology, and creativity.
For the twelfth consecutive year, Eni is the Main Partner of the event, which will once again take place in the Eni spaces of the Gazometro in Rome Ostiense, a symbol of the capital’s industrial transformation and technological rebirth.

Innovation at the Center: The Energy Brain
This year, Eni’s presence focuses on technological innovation as a tool for energy transition. Inside the Gasometro G2, visitors will experience The Energy Brain, an interactive and immersive experience that, through installations, games, and sensory environments, explores HPC6, Eni’s supercomputer, the heart of high-performance computing. Three interactive games allow visitors to challenge each other and learn more about Eni’s technology.
It also presents
- Magnetic confinement fusion, through a spectacular
immersive installation

Supercomputing comes to life
Through three gaming stations, each visitor becomes an active part of a collective computing system, experimenting through play with the principles that make the HPC6 supercomputer so powerful.
The three experiences:
- Energy Rush
- Precision Flash
- Mind Frame
They transform the complexity of supercomputing into a simple, participatory language.
The energy of the stars
Inside an immersive room, visitors enter a sensorial media environment that simulates the principle of magnetic confinement fusion: an immersive journey through light, sound, and movement, which recounts the process by which two isotopes, deuterium and tritium, combine, releasing a vast amount of energy—the same energy that powers the Sun.
An experience of shared knowledge
As per tradition, Eni will welcome students, families, innovators, and the curious to its space at the Gazometro Ostiense, with talks, installations, and opportunities for discussion on the role of technology in the energy transition. It’s a journey that combines research, interactivity, and participation, placing innovation within everyone’s reach at its heart.
