At Maker Make Rome 2025, robots will get you moving. And there’s also a space where you can design the future you want
Art and technology meet at Maker Faire Rome 2025: here, in AREA B (space 4) of the Gazometro Ostiense, the videos and interactive installations of the Italia Media Art Festival 2025 will launch you into a sustainable and just future, combining ethics, artificial intelligence, and renewable energy. It’s a space where imagination generates visions and technology makes them tangible experiences. Where ingenuity finds solutions beyond technical limits and innovation is born from the union of art, science, and social sensitivity.
Italia Media Art Festival 2025 “Technology for the Common Good: Art for a Just Transition” is an international platform dedicated to video art and emerging technologies, exploring the links between art, innovation, and social reflection.

I-RIM 3D: The challenges of robotics await you
In the same AREA B (space 05), I-RIM 3D will be held, an event organized by the Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Machines. This year, it will host two competitions dedicated to collaborative and intelligent robotics: the Human-Aware Navigation Challenge and the Human-Robot Collaborative Manipulation Challenge. In the first, robots will be challenged to navigate dynamic, human-populated environments using safe, fluid, and efficient navigation strategies.

Human Aware Navigation
Human-Robot Collaborative Manipulation Challenge. In the second, the focus shifts to cooperation: robots will have to tackle shared manipulation tasks with human operators, learning to work side by side effectively and naturally. Both competitions, supported by PAL Robotics, aim to push the boundaries of human-robot interaction, bringing these technologies ever closer to practical applications in everyday life and the industrial world.

Duckietown, the robotic city that you make move
The excitement of AREA B doesn’t end there. In Space 24, Duckietown offers a hands-on control systems lab. It’s easy. Through guided activities with the Duckietown robot, you’ll experience firsthand the fundamentals of control systems and robotics. No special skills are required: just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
