Regione Lazio Innova

Faber School/Waiting for Maker Faire Rome 2022

Lazio Region, through Lazio Innova, launched a Call for new projects, prototypes and solutions developed by the regional innovation ecosystem, to qualify the schedule of the regional presence at the Maker Faire and support the development of new ideas.

In the “Spazi Attivi” of Bracciano, Colleferro, Ferentino, Latina, Rieti, Rome, Viterbo and Zagarolo, the locations of the regional FabLabs, the participants, with the assistance of technical experts, developed prototypes and projects through courses (Faber School) in which theoretical-practical training and prototyping alternated.

The services and equipment of the “Spaiz Attivi” and FabLabs were made available to the participants, both to foster opportunities for meeting and ‘community building’ with the aim of creating interdisciplinary teams, and to enable the realisation of projects and prototypes.

Eight prototypes were selected from the eight paths and are presented at Maker Faire, at the Regione Lazio stand: Lampada DaSc.Al, Cartoarredo: prototipo di una filiera locale, Sistemi audio in fabbricazione digitale: Base porta microfono e Scocca per microfono, Piramide Musicale, Turbina Wells 2.0, Mountain Bites, Robotica competitiva – Robot Arena Challenge, Lampada in tecnica mista and Alta Moda in fabbricazione digitale: Bag-tō, Legami, Sperimental Hood.
