PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE SEARCH FOR SPONSORS AND PARTNERS FOR THE INITIATIVE
“MAKER FAIRE ROME – THE EUROPEAN EDITION 2024”

“CALL FOR PARTNERS”

 

With this public notice we intend to proceed with the search for entities interested in providing sponsorship or entering into a partnership (hereinafter referred to as “Sponsor” or “Partner”), including of a technical nature, for the event “Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition 2024” and related events, now in its twelfth edition and scheduled from 25th to 27th October 2024 in physical or digital attendance mode.

This notice does not entail the announcement of any awarding procedure, the formation of any ranking, the attribution of scores or other forms of classification.

1. Organiser of the initiatives

The Organiser of the initiative “Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition 2024” is Innova Camera, Special Company of the Rome Chamber of Commerce, with headquarters in Via de’ Burro, 147 – 00186 Rome, Tel. 06 6976901 (hereinafter referred to as “Organiser”). 

2. Entities the notice is addressed to

The notice to express interest in the sponsorship or partnership in question is addressed to public or private entities (natural or legal persons), non-profit associations or other entities which intend to promote their image and its own contents by collaborating with the initiative Organiser.

3. Object of sponsorship and partnership, essential characteristics and elements

This notice, which is in no way binding on the Organiser, is aimed at receiving applications for sponsorship or partnership, including of a technical nature, from potentially interested operators. Private and public entities can take part in “Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition 2024” by signing sponsorship or partnership agreements to promote their image, activities and products/services related to them.

Applications can concern:

  • sponsorships and partnerships in the form of financial payments
  • technical sponsorships and partnerships in the form of providing services and/or supplying goods (technical partnerships)

It is possible to submit applications including both forms for the same project or initiative (partly financial and partly technical).

The Organiser can accept applications for overall sponsorships or partnerships which include not only the initiative “Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition 2024” but also similar events relating to the 2024 Budget line “C”, “Projects for innovation and European funds”, approved with Resolution no. 21/2023 of 11/11/2023 of the Innova Camera Board of Directors and no. 27/2023 of 30/11/2023 of the Chamber Council of the Chamber of Commerce of Rome, in which the Company's budget was approved for the year 2024.

The Event will address, among others, the following themes:

4. Sponsor/Partner requirements:

  • activity consistent with the spirit, general interests and themes of the event

  • no harm or damage to the initiative’s image

  • no disputes with the promoter

  • no existing prejudicial situations or which limit the contractual capacity of the Sponsor/Partner

The Organiser, at its sole discretion, reserves the right not to accept proposals that are inconsistent with the purposes and content of the event. In any case, sponsorships and partnerships, including technical ones, are excluded if they involve:

  • political and/or religious propaganda
  • messages and content related to participation which, at the Organiser’s discretion, can be considered offensive and harmful to the event’s image

5. How to take part

Entities can take part in “Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition 2024” and related events by signing a sponsorship or partnership contract, including of a technical nature, according to the various available forms of participation that will be announced by the Organiser and that will provide:

  • different types of physical attendance (display spaces of various sizes and layouts);
  • different types of digital attendance (through the Sponsor/Partner using the online platform/website the Organiser uses for the event or by participating in streaming events);
  • visibility on the Organiser’s social and communication channels;
  • possibility to present their own content during the scheduled events and conferences.

To take part, the Sponsor/Partner can send a request via the appropriate form on the website https://makerfairerome.eu/en/become-partner#info, or directly contact the Organiser’s offices. The Organiser reserves the right to directly propose participation, even to entities who have not previously requested it, according to the procedure indicated.

6. Participation categories and sectoral product exclusivity rights

The Organiser will accept sponsor or partnership requests, in the different categories of participation envisaged, according to the criteria indicated below:

MAIN category: it guarantees the exclusive right for its own sectoral product category, if requested by the Sponsor/Partner, on the Main, Gold, Silver and Bronze levels. If multiple entities request exclusivity for the same sectoral product category, the Partner/Sponsor will be selected in the following ways:

  • if the Sponsor/Partner candidates apply requesting exclusivity for a product category and agree to the maximum amount foreseen for the level, chronological order will be used.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to conduct further negotiations if multiple Sponsor/Partner candidates apply requesting exclusivity for the same product category, offering an amount lower than the maximum foreseen for the level. In this case, the candidate proposing the highest amount will prevail, or in the case of a tie, the first to make the proposal.

Product exclusivity cannot be recognised to Sponsors/Partners, as potentially competing entities, which have already signed a contractual agreement with the Organiser at the date of the request. If the request for sector exclusivity is not exercised by the participating Sponsor/Partner, for its own free choice, the Organiser will be free to sign contractual agreements with other subjects even for the same product sector.

GOLD category: it guarantees the exclusive right is provided for its own sectoral product category, upon the Sponsor/Partner’s request, on the Gold, Silver and Bronze levels. If multiple entities request exclusivity for the same sectoral product category, the Partner/Sponsor will be selected in the following ways:

  • if the Sponsor/Partner candidates apply requesting exclusivity for the same sectoral product category and agree to the maximum amount foreseen for the level, chronological order will be applied.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to conduct further negotiations if multiple Sponsor/Partner candidates apply requesting exclusivity for the same product category, offering an amount lower than the maximum foreseen for the level. In this case, the candidate proposing the highest amount will prevail, or in the case of a tie, the first to make the proposal.

Product exclusivity cannot be recognised to Sponsors/Partners, as potentially competing entities, which have already signed a contractual agreement with the Organiser at the date of the request. SILVER category: without exclusive product right.

BRONZE category: without exclusive product right.

FAN A and FAN B category: without sectoral product exclusivity rights.

STARTUP category: without sectoral product exclusivity rights. This category includes companies or startups registered in the register of innovative start-ups and/or companies formed by young entrepreneurs.

FRIENDS Category – Technical Partnerships: this category includes those entities which contribute to disseminating the event’s content. This does not entail any sectoral product exclusivity.

For all categories, without prejudice to the criteria for awarding product exclusivity, if required, in the vent of the Partner/Sponsor candidate proposes an amount below the maximum price per level, the Organiser reserves the right to start negotiations, choosing whether or not to accept the offer presented.

The forms of sponsorship or partnership described are based on predefined packages, but can be modified, at the request of the parties concerned and with the Organiser’s agreement, to be appropriate to the applicant’s characteristics and image/attendance requirements. To guarantee the presence of high-level technical content, the Organiser can propose different forms of participation in the various categories, from both a technical and financial point of view.

7. Important

This Notice is drawn up in Italian and English. The Italian version shall prevail in the event of any discrepancy between the two versions.

The Organiser reserves the right to modify the conditions set out in relation to the event’s location and timing.
