Marinella Levi is Full Professor in Material Science and Technology at Politecnico. Her current research topics are about sustainable materials and processes, innovative polymeric materials and printers for additive manufacturing and industry 4.0, with applications in design, boating, health, and aerospace.
She is co-author of over 160 publications on international journals, as well as 10 patents, and 7 monographs dedicated to the relationship between Materials, Design and new digital manufacturing. In 2013 Marinella Levi founded +LAB (www.piulab.it), first 3D printing laboratory at Politecnico di Milano, and since 2018 she is a partner and co-founder of Moi Composites srl (www.moi.am) spin-off of the Politecnico di Milano. Thanks to a proprietary robotic 3D printing technology, Moi operates in the field of additive manufacturing of long fibres reinforced composites reinforced. In 2020, Moi Composites launched Mambo, the world’s first 3D printed boat, made entirely of fiberglass.
