Intuitive interfaces for human-robot interaction and collaboration

Intuitive interfaces for human-robot interaction and collaboration

TheEngineRoom (TER) is a robotic research group at DIBRIS (University of Genoa). TER aims to embody robots with all the necessary skills for a safe and natural collaboration with humans. In this context, TER develops and integrates technologies to facilitate human-robot interaction. At Maker Faire 2021, TER presents two recent research results:

  • An augmented reality interface for human-robot collaboration, allowing the human operator to observe robotic actions in advance thanks to a hologram.

  • A novel data glove to track hand motions for gestural interaction and teleoperation applications.
