The use of light for brain wellness: when innovation meets science - La Luce per il benessere cerebrale: innovazione e scienza si incontrano

Did you know that when we say that we are stressed the same thing happens in our brain cells? It's called Oxidative Stress and it cages and inflames our brain cells, causing distress, tiredness or insomnia, poor quality sleep and irritable mood. The use of near infrared light, defined as transcranial Photobiomodulation, allows us to improve the metabolism of our cells or fill them with the energy they need to make us carry out actions and thoughts. What if it was precisely the use of light that could reduce the possibility of developing a neurological condition?

Dott.ssa Jasmine Balduzzi

After studying Biological Sciences and Advanced Biotechnology, Jasmine Balduzzi met Cerebro®, a biotechnology company active in the field of neurological rehabilitation, becoming its youngest collaborator. Her continuous desire to develop her knowledge in the scientific field, even beyond the most commonly explored territories, has allowed her to learn all about the highly innovative world of transcranial photobiomodulation. The common mission is to use light as a means to improve the quality of life of patients with neurological diseases and to bring new biotechnological innovations to the Italian territory.
