It is defined by NIST (Special Publication 800-53Rev. 5) as a form of risk assessment that models aspects of the attack and defence sides of a logical entity, such as a data, application, host, system or environment. Initially, we will provide an introduction on cyber risk management methodologies and the types of cyber assets to be taken into account during threat modelling. We will then conduct an overview of the phases of a cyber attack and the main cyber threats.
