Designed by an expert Italian team, it includes everything needed to travel “green” with the legendary Vespa Piaggio
62 miles (100 km) of autonomy with no changes in the external appearance!
In 2019, the Italian Vespa Piaggio has once again been acknowledged as the most popular scooter brand in the world, as well as one of the most famous and recognizable symbols of Made in Italy.
In a transport sector where it is increasingly necessary to adapt to regulations that protect emissions and the environment and that require mobility that is increasingly eco-sustainable, the Italian Motoveloci team has decided to convert this world-famous scooter into a zero-emission vehicle. How? With its unique Motoveloci “Retrokit Vespa Electric” that is easy and intuitive to use.
Without making any changes to the appearance of the scooter, this kit allows you to travel on a Retrokit electric Vespa with total respect for the environment. The Retrokit features an aluminum alloy crankcase and engine, which generates 6kW of maximum energy, powered by a 1.5 kWh removable lithium battery. The accumulator recharges in three hours and allows an autonomy of approximately 62 miles (100 km) in urban areas, with the capability of recharging the battery while braking.
Compared to the traditional Vespa, the transmission with an electric motor is direct. Consequently, now there is no need to change gears and the kit is perfectly integrated into the various compartments of the scooter. The maximum speed is limited to 28 mph (45 km/h), but can easily be increased to 56 mph (90 km/h), by unlocking the speed parameters utilizing the specific smartphone app that is included in the Retrokit. In addition, with the app, it is also possible to monitor and update various travel data.
Cutting-edge technologies for a vehicle that, is still, today a world-famous vintage symbol par excellence. Now proud Vespa owners can easily “convert” to the new mobility of the future without giving up the scooter of their past!
