BeDisruptive: A Cybersecurity Expert for organizations and businesses

bedisruptive: the Cybersecurity Expert for Organisations and Enterprises

Cybersecurity deals with the protection of computer systems, networks and data from threats, attacks and intrusions.

Cybersecurity provides for the protection of computer systems, networks, and data against threats, attacks, and intrusions. These dangers can come from cybercriminals, hackers, malware, spyware, and other malicious sources. The goal of cybersecurity is to ensure that digital information is protected from unauthorized access and remains confidential, intact, and available.

In Italia, interest in cybersecurity is growing

Businesses as well as individuals and government agencies can run into issues if they do not have an ally in cybersecurity. For example, it is critical to protect personal and financial information, as data breaches can lead to fraud and identity theft. Cybersecurity ensures online privacy by preventing third parties from accessing personal information without authorization.

For this reason, for the past few years, authorities and companies have begun to invest in this field, not only by expanding their staffs but also by allocating funds to ensure the security of their information systems. These individuals in particular have realized the importance of having an increasingly high level of security, so as to prevent data loss and fraud and to ensure business continuity and the integrity of the company. A lack of security could lead to reputational damage, loss of customers, and damage in the long term. In addition, companies and businesses have regulatory obligations to comply with, for example the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe. In this sense, according to a study by the Cybersecurity & Data Protection Observatory at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy spent 1.8 billion on cybersecurity products and services in 2022, which is equivalent to 0.1 percent of GDP (a figure that is up 18 percent from 2021).

BeDisruptive, the boutique tech company specializing in information security that accompanies clients through all phases, from design to service and project delivery, maximizing security levels to protect their business, positions itself as a leading figure. And it does so with the goal of supporting the technology transition of organizations and enabling them to overcome their limitations.

With offices in Rome, Milan (opening soon), Madrid, Panama and Washington, the company is committed to protecting customer information and assets, effectively limiting real and potential threats to support them in their digital transition to a more competitive and secure future. It is an international company that has chosen Italy as its main market with the goal of supporting the country and organizations in improving security.

BeDisruptive’s Security Operation Center (SOC) are also members of the Forum for Response to Incidents and Security Teams (FIRST), of the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and the Trusted Introducer, Europe’s leading forum that brings together the operations centers of some of the most important organizations and companies in Europe and around the world, with the goal of creating a network of experts that promotes collaboration, research and development of new strategies for protecting against cyber threats.

Cybersecurity at Maker Faire Rome 2023, BD is crowd favorite

BeDisruptive recently participated in Maker Faire Rome 2023 as a Cybersecurity Expert Partner, bringing cybersecurity to the Rome-based event for the first time. BeDisruptive wanted to share its goal of spreading a culture of cybersecurity and educating  young people and innovation enthusiasts who are aware that technology and progress are fundamental, as long as they are safe. The three-day event held in Rome allowed participants to attend a number of panels dedicated to cybersecurity, addressing topics such as: innovation and cybersecurity in the cloud; maintaining the security perimeter in organizations with an increasingly fast-paced digital transformation; the role of Security Operation Centers; the skills needed to become cyber consultants; Managed Security Services; how a SOC and Red Team work; and phishing techniques. The roundtable organized by the company was an opportunity to discuss topics such as cyber attack trends in 2023, the development of ransomware threats, the main challenges faced by Italian companies and strategies to successfully address them. The feedback was positive both in terms of attendance and interactions on social channels: BeDisruptive managed to provide participants with an overview of the current and future cybersecurity situation, even organizing a fun action game that combined cryptography, manual skills, and technology.
