Dr. Daniele Dessi (PhD 1999), male, Senior Researcher at CNR-INM from 2001. He graduated in Aeronautical Engineering and then took the PhD in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. His research activity has concerned structural dynamics and health monitoring, virtual sensing and data fusion on structural data, aeroelasticity of lifting surfaces and hydroelasticity of ships and moored floating structures, system identification techniques and energy harvesting from vibrations. He is scientific responsible of Structural Dynamics and Diagnostics Laboratory at INM site in Rome. He has been lecturer of Numerical Analysis at the Engineering Faculty of University of Rome “La Sapienza” (2004-2019). He is author of peer-review papers on the above research subjects, currently participates as expert in several international committees in ship and offshore engineering (ISSC) as well as in wind energy (EERA-WIND), and has been PI in several research and industry-oriented projects.
Giorgia Leonardi was born in Rome on 24/06/1993. Graduated in Energy Engineering from the University of Rome La Sapienza, with specialization in renewable energy. He has participated in electrification projects of rural companies in Central America (Honduras and Costa Rica) using solar, wind and hydroelectric energy. He participated in the international Solar Decathlon competition for the construction of a sustainable and smart home, taking care of the photovoltaic system project. Currently she is a doctoral student of the Theoretical and Applied Mechanics course at La Sapienza in collaboration with the INM-CNR institute, studying the production of energy from vibrations with piezoelectric materials.
