STMicroelectronics

At ST we work with more than 100,000 customers and hundreds of partners to design and build products and solutions that respond to their challenges and support opportunities to develop a more sustainable world. Our technologies enable smarter mobility, more efficient power and energy management, and large-scale deployment of the Internet of Things and 5G technologies. Any initiative that requires electronics to become a reality is important for ST, which is why we are returning to Maker Faire Rome again this year to engage with students, teachers, inventors, and small and large start-ups.
Our Ecosystem of Competences and our solutions are designed to simplify the development of your prototype: motors, sensors, and microcontrollers can be easily connected using our low cost but extremely powerful Nucleo boards, forming the building blocks of your application. Our experts will also deliver Live Talks on AI, blockchain and our STM32 ODE board system. You can find inspiration for your projects from any of the following success stories:
• An innovative prototype of an electric guitar distortion device developed by a pair of music and electronics enthusiasts, who have revisited the famous analog stomp box by adding the incredible potential of digital control with the STM32 MCU.
• The application of smart sensors to detect seismic activity around Etna through the collaboration between ST and a researcher from the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology
• A reference design to support efficient and low-cost social distancing that can be used in various ways with different media, created in collaboration with the French company and ST partner, Inocess.
• The virtual assistant that helps families interact better with their doctors and trigger alerts emergency situations, developed with BD Sound, DAOS, 221 and Check-Up.
