T.A.L.P.A. 2.0 (Tunnel AeroLab for Longitudinal Profile Acquisition)
T.A.L.P.A. 2.0 represents the evolution of T.A.L.P.A. 1.0 which is the first mobile lab for accurate airflow measurements in tunnels.
T.A.L.P.A 1.0 was invented and developed by Mimesis s.r.l. and DIEF (Dipartimento di Ingegneria Enzo Ferrari di Modena) together with GEIE-TMB (Tunnel Monte Bianco). Innovative aspects of v2.0 are: an autonomic guide system (by means of a line follower systems) and an electronic differential aimed at stabilizing the velocity of the vehicle

ITS MAKER Emilia Romagna is composed by 4 bases (Modena, Bologna, Reggio Emilia and Fornovo) with specific focuses within the fields of mechanics, mechatronics, automotive and industrial automation. Students of all 4 bases ITS in Emilia Romagna were involved in the T.A.L.P.A. 2.0 project.
