WeMake is an innovative start-up based in Milan and provides a series of services and training to the creative community of the region in the field of digital and traditional manufacturing, high-value technologies and access to a fully equipped Fab Lab. Clearing the difference between prototype and finished object, we foster the development of a new model of designer-producer (maker) and small-scale company by facilitating the engineering phase, the rapid iteration of design solutions, the on-demand production of physical/digital artifacts.

Paolo Bonelli is a maker, passionate about scientific DIY and Citizen Science. He graduated in Physics at the University "La Sapienza" of Rome and specialized in Atmospheric Physics at the Air Force then working as a meteorologist. Subsequently he continued his activity in research companies in the electricity sector, where he dealt with meteorology applied to renewable energy and the environment. Since 2014, Paolo collaborates with Wemake s.r.l. of Milan, where he holds courses and workshops on electronics and the construction of sensors for the environment. He participated in the Maker4Dev project collaborating with a FabLab in Burkina Fasu. He built and installed a meteorological station at Cascina S. Ambrogio in Milan, applying LoRa radio technology for real-time data transmission over the Internet. He collaborates with university research groups in the field of collecting environmental data relating to the water sector. Paolo manages the site www.coscienzambientale.com and the homonymous page FB . He has been a teacher at the SIAM school in Milan and at the Fastweb Digital Academy.
Dr. Elio Romano has been working as a Researcher at the CREA-IT headquarters in Treviglio since 2006, after having acquired the title of PhD in Agricultural Engineering at the University of Catania and having carried out research assignments at the same field of Agricultural Mechanics. His research activity at CRA-ING has developed on different sectors:
• technological innovations of tractors and agricultural machinery and observations of the interactions between these and the operator or between these and the environment;
• technological innovations in the protected crops sector with the aim of energy saving;
• innovative agricultural machinery;
• energy recovery from agricultural residues;
• ergonomics and safety of agricultural machinery and equipment;
• vibrations in agriculture and health of operators;
• treatment and valorisation of agricultural waste;
• precision farming.

Dr. Romano is the author of more than 130 scientific publications with national and international circulation and of various official test reports. He is a member of the Italian Society of Ergonomics and of the OCM Fruit and Vegetable Commission of MIPAAF.
As part of the research conducted on agricultural tractors, he deals with the effects of agricultural surfaces on transmitted vibrations and comfort. In the field of protected crop technologies, he deals with structural and managerial innovations useful for reducing environmental impact. As part of the research on innovative machines, he deals with the mechanization of harvesting in protected cultivation and multifunction machines for growing grapes. In addition, experimental tests are underway relating to the safety of agricultural operators and the application and implementation of precision farming in business organizations.
The methodological and statistical knowledge for experimental purposes, acquired during the degree course, deepened during the PhD course, has been refined and updated through intensive courses relating to the use of the R software, to the methodologies of multivariate analysis and geostatistics. Dr. Elio Romano then held lectures on "Statistical Methodology in Agriculture: processing of experimental data with R software" at the Department of Agricultural Engineering of the University of Catania, he is enrolled in the Register of internal teachers of the Council for research and experimentation in agriculture and since 2012 has developed sessions of the "Basic Statistics", "Advanced Excel" and "Access" courses at the offices of the CRA-SCA of Bari, of the CRA-ING of Monterotondo, of the CRA-IAA of Milan and of the CRA-ACM of Acireale and is developing, following a mandate from CREA, courses in "Basic Statistics" on the Moodle platform for on-line training.
