No Gender Gap: un progetto e una campagna dedicati ad aumentare l'interesse - e il numero - di bambine, ragazze, donne nella tecnoscienza
Since 2008, Scuola di Robotica, in collaboration with various colleges and educational organisations, has been carrying out projects dedicated to promoting the interest of children, young girls and women in technical and scientific professions.
The Erasmus plus porject "No Gender Gap" has created a platform that contains a complete course in coding and educational robotics dedicated to beginners and especially to girls and women.
Several studies have pointed out that with good school results of girls in mathematics, physics and science, it is the family who decides the girls' curriculum, which often does not have enough information to make a considered decision.
The project at Maker Faire will present the results of the No Gender Gap project, the free MOOC and the
-- will launch a new national campaign dedicated above all to make the FAMILIES aware of the situation of the world of work in Italy and the benefits in terms of job opportunities linked to the curriculum of technical-scientific studies
-- will organize a webinar during which a network of private public educational institutions will be presented and will promote projects dedicated to the theme and involving families.

Fiorella Operto. Since 1999 she is cooperating with the Italian Research Council (IAN and IEIIT Institutes) on the social impact of Advanced Robotics applications. In 2000, with robotics scientist, Gianmarco Veruggio, she funded the School of Robotics Society, which she is chairing today. In 2003-2004 Operto contributed to the definition and development of Roboethics (Ethical, Legal, and Societal Issues in Robotics). 2006: School of Robotics Reference Person for â€œThe Roboethics Roadmapâ€, funded by the European Commissionâ€™s EURON Robotics Network. 2007: School of Robotics Reference Person of the EU funded Euron Roboethics Atelier (2007) and (2008-2010) of Ethicbots European project (Emerging Technoethics of Human Interaction with Communication, Bionic, and robOTic systems). 2009-2010 she was Partner (WP ELS Issues in Robotics) of the EU funded â€œCAREâ€ Project (Cordination Action for Robotics in Europe) devoted to roadmap the European robotics academy, industry and research activities. 2014-2017: ECWT (EU European Centre for Women&Technology) Member of the High-level Advisory Committee.
