FilaMaker is a open source project targeted on recycling. We are building small hand driven shredders which are used on universities and laboratories all around the world. Our shredders are used in taking small samples from objects for further analyzing, help in research for new materials, are used for educational purposes and many student projects. We are proud to say that our shredders are used from makers through universities up to NASA and ESA.
We have show in 2013 world first full metal extruder with shredder on Maker Faire Rome where we shredded plastic, make new filament and print direct new objects like a life performance in front of visitors. From this time we have make our extruder more faster, powerful and precise but on the start of the year 2016 a decision was made to cut the funds for further development to concentrate more on our shredders.
