Z/2
Z/2 is a low cost printer for tactile graphics, designed in collaboration with blind students to allow them to print in relief everything unable to be explained in words e.g. graphics, symbols and images. The final product is designed to be easily transportable, small and, most of all, usable autonomously in either software or hardware level. To allow the spread and the accessibility of the technology, designers have worked to engineer every component, introducing important changes, such as the "fixed matrix" system, designed to increase the line resolution while reducing production costs.
