On the stand you will find the creative geometry kit made by the students of the Liceo Scientifico Cavour and you can participate in hands-on Workshops in peer education.
You will discover the hidden geometry in the Apollonius cone through a detaschable model produced in the school FabLab with the use of 3D printers. Circle, ellipse, parabola, hyperbola will show up in magnetic surfaces.
A tutorial on the conic sections will reveal the principal geometric properties of curves to offer ideas for educational applications.

The students, between the ages of 15 and 16 years old, attend the third year of the Liceo Scientifico.
The interests of the group are:
- visualization and experimentation of themes of curricular geometry through informal and cooperative learning
- development of skills related to digital manufacturing.
The concept was developed in brainstorming during a laboratory of creative geometry within a path of School-Work Alternation in collaboration with the Municipio Roma I, Centro. The school FabLab was the ideal learning environment for the development of digital skills (3D modeling, digital manifacturing, 3D printing).
