Planets in a room
Planets in a room is a DIY low-cost kit to build a small, 40cm spherical projector to show and teach the planets and the stars in a classroom or in an educational exhibit. The projector uses 3d printing technologies and other off the shelf pieces. It was funded by the Europlanet Outreach Funding Scheme and will be distributed to the public starting from September 2018.
Planets in a room is a project by the non profit association Speak Science, in collaboration with INAF-IAPS, the Roma Tre University (Dipartimento di Matematica e Fisica), AstronomiAmo and 2be3D.
