Monitoraggio strutturale per costruzioni
The current state of the built environment in Italy shows criticalities with respect to the safety of buildings and the need of a ‘track record’ for most of them. Such criticalities become especially obvious during seismic events and other extreme environmental conditions. This calls for monitoring and verification systems able to provide information about existing and new buildings. We are developing a monitoring system for measuring the actual stress state in new and existing constructions during seismic events, and we aim to design new materials and components for next-generation buildings
