Altre musiche per altri mondi

Formally, everything starts from the musical symbols sought in their possibilities of meaning outside the pentagram within which they perform their proverbial function, and in particular from the chroma sign intended as an "interlinguistic" module and used as a "brick" of everything that makes up this total work : modeled in 3D, the chroma is cloned to infinity in a free space in which to discover other functions and become something else. Going through the different languages, the evolutions of these signs that have become dancers take the form of sculptures (3D printed with the addition of hand-made interventions), prints, videos and virtual reality created by the artist. In the performance (proposed several times during the installation's time span) the virtual reality (normally prepared for public use) is scanned in real time by the performer whose experience is transmitted on a large screen that becomes video-backdrop of an interactive audiovisual perormance in which a futuristic gaze dance is staged. The artist and musician will find himself in a side position with his musical instruments (mainly synthesizers but not only) improvising live and characterizing the environment of the immersive experience in the virtual reality headset as in the stage environment inaugurated by the installation , thus "accompanying" the experience of the performer (but occasionally also that of the users) in this world made up of signs freed from what we would call their primary function. The profound meaning of the operation finds its foundation not only in the desire to continue the tradition of the avant-gardes that has seen musical writing become other arts and elaborate spatial writings for free improvisations (like mine) but even more in its metaphorical characteristics: capacity of the art of imagining more and more existential possibilities for all things. The musical signs outside the pentagram are the metaphor of the "non-homologated", different, "outside the lines" in general and to see how outside certain "social-mental grids" vital and significant processes can be imagined, it seems extremely interesting to me as it is he hopes "train" people to open up visions and overcome fear for the different, towards what escapes the habitual meshes.
