Around the world, 3.1 million children die each year for causes related to hunger and malnutrition. Action against Hunger is one of the leading organizations in the fight against hunger and its standards of care have become the international standard. READY-TO-USE THERAPEUTIC FOOD (RUTF) is regarded as the greatest revolution in the cure of children malnutrition and Action against Hunger is one of the first organizations to have experienced its use within community malnutrition management programs in Chad in 1997. Today the organization is active globally, with programs in more than 50 countries. In 2016 Action against Hunger has helped about 15 million people thanks to the work of 7,958 humanitarian professionals (93% of whom are local staff).
