In January 2015 Veneto Region launched the Veneto Fablab Call for proposals. 2.000.000 euro have been invested in order to push digital transformation of Veneto manufacturing sector.
It seems that Veneto Region is on the right way:
- Veneto is the first Italian region financing digital manufacturing at craftsmanship and SMEs level;
- 18 Fablabs have begun their activities in almost all Veneto provinces and have already started important collaborations in the territory;
- Veneto Fablab network has taken part into many national and European events.
Veneto Region aim is to let every Fablab become an Innovation Lab in progress, where researchers, entrepreneurs, citizens are able to do, but first of all to plan together every new product or service. The Fablab should become a space containing not just projects and ideas, but concrete creations that can be touched and used.
