Roboable is a project aimed to children with special needs.
The goal is to make the technology available to create a playful and educational tool link to therapeutic issues.
The project is inspired by the expressive potential of the mask, already known instrument that uses psychotherapy in order to bring out emotions and feelings.
The basic idea of ​​the project is to foster communication and the emergence of emotions.
visual stimulation, auditory and movement will help the children to express themselves using various tools such as transfer.
Roboable is a system: an open-source platform and source of work-in-progress to which access and share content.
It consists of a robotic kit capable of interacting with media (PC and projector, smartphone and tablet) capable of playing interactive game scenarios suitably designed and available for free download from the dedicated website.
The kit includes a base unit that can be interfaced with endless covers, ie emotional masks equipped with sensors.
