NUILamp -interfaccia utente naturale per controllare una lampada
In this work we'll illustrate design and implementation of an experimental prototype of a smart lamp, operated by air gestures: these can control turning on, switching off and color variation of a LED matrix or more kinds of lights. Hand motion will set LEDs color, bright, turning on/off. Microsoft Kinect and Arduino Uno microcontroller will be used, but we're considering an upgrade to ESPertino or Arduino Primo in order to add Wi-Fi support.
Applications stem from entertainment (e.g. a show where actor/dancers may condition lighting with their choreographies) to fitness and physiotherapy (e.g. equilibrium exercises with light feedback).

Virgilio Claudio Campobasso
Born in Bari (Italy) in 1972, Virgilio, gets graduation "Maturità Classica", degree (MSc) in "Economics and Business" at Università di Messina and Degree (BSc) in "informatica e Comunicazione Digitale" (Computer Science and Digital Communication) at Università di Bari "Aldo Moro" with 110 out 110 points. Now he's about to get a MSc in Computing Engineering at Polytechic University in Bari with a very high average of marks (29 over 30). He's aroused by microcontroller like Arduino and its clones. His experiment, already successfully done at Electric and Information Engineering Department (DEI) into university he's attending is the result of his curiosity about above-mentioned devices and the Internet Of Things.
