CNR - INSEAN E ISSIA
The National Research Council (Cnr) is the largest public research institution in Italy, the only one under the Research Ministry performing multidisciplinary activities.
Founded as legal person on 18 November 1923, Cnr’s mission is to perform research in its own Institutes, to promote innovation and competitiveness of the national industrial system, to promote the internationalization of the national research system, to provide technologies and solutions to emerging public and private needs, to advice Government and other public bodies, and to contribute to the qualification of human resources.
In the Cnr's research world, the main resource is the available knowledge which means people, with their skills, commitment and ideas. This capital comprises more than 8.000 employees, of whom more than half are researchers and technologists. Some 4.000 young researchers are engaged in postgraduate studies and research training at Cnr within the organization’s top-priority areas of interest. A significant contribution also comes from research associates: researchers, from Universities or private firms, who take part in Cnr’s research activities.

FILOALFA
FiloAlfa is a business unit of Ciceri de Mondel, a historic company that has invested its know-how in the production of plastics, in the creation of high quality 3D printing filaments.
1917: Ciceri Egidio is born, a craft workshop in Via della Moscova in Milan for the production of commemorative medals.
1950: Craftsmanship goes hand in hand with industrial development: in the factory of via Savona begins the production of mirrors combining manual machining with state-of-the-art techniques.
1960: Ciceri de Mondel moves to the new warehouse in Trezzano S/N, where installed a silver plating system for the home made mirrors from glass slabs.
1980: Ciceri de Mondel installs the first extrusion line for framing thermoformed. Gradually the production of mirrors will be abandoned to dedicate 100% to Extrusion of plastic materials.
2014: FiloAlfa is born from an idea of Antonio Berera. Thanks to many years of experience in the field of plastics extrusion, Ciceri de Mondel has been able to move quickly from the first experiments to the 3D filing industry.
Today Ciceri de Mondel, after having celebrated its centenary (1917-2017), has three lines for the production of extruded thermoplastic
sheets, an equipped color lab and two lines for extrusion of 3D printing filament.

RITMARE
Flagship Project is one of the National Research Programmes funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research.
RITMARE is the leading national marine research project for the period 2012-2016; the overall project budget amount to 250 million euros, co-funded by public and private resources. It is coordinated by the National Research Council and involves an integrated effort of most of the scientific community working on marine and maritime issues, as well as some major industrial groups.
